Jellystone Park

We just got back from an AWESOME weekend at Jellystone Park in Pelahatchie. It's one of the best kept secrets around here. On Friday afternoon we headed to the big city of Pelahatchie with the Ellises. We got there and checked into our cabin. The grill was closed so we drove into town and experienced some fine dining, at WARD'S! Saturday morning we woke up to overcast skies~ we were bummed but determined we wouldn't let the drizzling rain slow us down. We went on a hayride (they called it a hayride, but there was no hay) with Yogi Bear. After that, we went to the water park and what do you know~ it cleared up and the sun was out for the rest of the weekend. We didn't realized Jean Elaine's co-worker, Terry and his family would be there and the Hale's and the Pratt's from Canton were there staying in cabins right behind us! They were celebrating Chaney's 4th birthday and invited us to come see BooBoo bring Chaney a cake- the kids loved it! Sat. night we went to watch Cars on the outdoor movie screen. Please look at the 3rd picture in the 4th row- you'll see Will and Cooper having a stand off in the lawn chairs at the waterpark. Coop was throwing a fit and Will put him in "time out" and told him he could get up when he stopped crying. I know they sat there for 7 minutes- Coop crying and Will with his arms crossed~ he was not budging. The only thing that saved Coop was Terry's little boy, Cooper fell and hurt his mouth and they needed a dentist. Sunday morning we packed the truck and went back to the waterpark for a few hours. At the end, Cooper was eshausted and fell asleep in the lawn chair- I PROMISE we left shortly after that. We will definitely go back~ we had a blast, I highly recommend it.
