4th of July Finale

We had a super fun time at the Canton Balloon Fest Saturday night. We got there at 5:30 and stayed until about 9:40. We actually watched the fireworks from our car- the natives were getting restless. We had so much fun visiting with some of our friends~ we took up a big part of the field. There were kids everywhere! My little firecrackers!

More 4th Fun~ Lampkin Family Cookout

Memaw and Pepaw held their annual Fourth of July cookout at Lake Caroline. We had great food (enough to feed a small army :) and then Pepaw took us out on his Pontoon Boat to watch the Caroline fireworks~ which were AWESOME! (I forgot to take my camera on the boat :( Memaw bought SK, Coop, and Anderson all kinds of 4th of July goodies- pinwheels, necklaces, etc. they had a blast! Cousin Anderson and Cooper

Will got contacts recently and his friend at the eye doctor "hooked" him up with all kinds of crazy glasses for eye protection. These are his favorites. Yes, they have lights on the sides! He was Pepaw's lights on the boat- which worked out good, except he blinded the rest of us!
Us in our 4th of July clothes- we wore red, white, and blue all weekend. Good thing we only had 3 days, we were running out of festive colors!

Fourth of July Fun

From the time Will walked in the door Thursday after work until Saturday night we were nonstop. We started the festivities Thurs. night on the Square. The kids had a blast helping with the balloon (thanks, Mr. Ken)! Big Helpers

Run Haleys Run

I just had to brag on my sister and brother in law, Amy and Michael. While I ate too much over the weekend, this is what they did~ Ran a 5K in 22:30. That's a 7:15 minute mile my friend. My heroes! They were scootin'. Amy always does my running schedules when I feel froggy and want to run a 5K and she always reminds me to, "Wear a cute outfit bc you run better." Great minds think alike. GO AMY AND MICHAEL!

Welcome Home Greer Family, Welcome Home!

Our dear friends, Stephen and Emily (and Maddox) Greer have moved back home! Stephen is opening an Oral Surgery practice here, so we have been able to spend some time with them lately while the guys talked "shop." Last night we met them at Amerigos for dinner (with no kids~ thanks, Nana!) We're so excited to have them home and get to spend more time with them. The Greers and The Lampkins

This is where I found Cooper when we got home, I'm sure he's thinking, "I love it when Nana babysits, I get to stay up past my bedtime and eat Doritos in the guest bedroom, Life is good!"

Sunday afternoon The Ellises and The Lampkins headed to the park. We had fun chasing after the kids and visiting. After the park we headed for the Mexican restaurant. What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. What a sweet blessing to have such great friends as neighbors!
