How Cute Is She?

Mondays are cleaning day. This week we've had VBS so Monday afternoon I had tons of laundry. SK has started wanting to help, so I let her. She folded all of her things and put them in neat little stacks. She was so sweet- I paid her 50 cents and she was thrilled. I know I want get off that easy for much longer.

Father's Day we went to church and then went out on the boat at Lake Caroline with Memaw and Pepaw. We had a great time riding the boat and tubing! The world's best daddy and his kids

Birthday breakfast!
I just celebrated my 32nd birthday! Will and the kids made a strawberry cake (my favorite) for me and it was DELICIOUS! As they started, I left the kitchen and Will said, "Do I put the icing on before or after it's baked?" I was a little nervous. We had a low key day at home and went out for lunch. We ate the cake for breakfast on Saturday- if you look at the picture- you can see he didn't put icing on the sides :)

Today would have been my Dad's 63rd birthday! How awesome to celebrate your birthday with Jesus Christ, our Savior in His Kingdom. Happy Birthday, Daddy~ We miss you!!!

Playgroup Fishin'

Sharea's parents, Jerome and Sylvia (aka: Papa J and Bitsy) had our playgroup over for an afternoon of fishing, dinner and homemade ice cream. We had so much fun! Our playgroup started out as 3 five years ago (SK, Jett and Mason). We've expanded to 7 and one on the way.

Big Girl Haircut

SK has been wanting her hair cut short. I bargained with her and told her after her ballet recital she could get it cut. We went to Mrs. Wendy's today and she got it cut off! It is so cute and she loves it too. She looks like a big girl. Wendy couldn't get over how wavy it was underneath- she had to straighten it 3 times. She thinks her hair may turn curly. I might get my curly headed child after all. Coop even has a little wave in the back ( I think it's a cow lick :).

The Beach '08

We just got back from a week in Destin. Terry, Jean Elaine and Zan were there too and we all stayed at the same place (The Aegean). We had so much fun! The kids loved the beach~ it was by far our best vacation as a foursome yet. We got 2 hermit crabs the 2nd day we were there and prepared SK they probably wouldn't live until the end of the week. Boy, was I wrong- they are still alive and kickin'. We ATTEMPTED to get a family picture on the beach. I included some of them just for kicks. Terry took some with his camera- so hopefully he got some better ones. Can't wait until next year.
